Reactor No. 7

Еще одна группа после Process Is Dead, описываемая здесь, известна только своим сплитом с Pg. 99.
А между прочим на локальной сцене были известны своими сумасшедшими живыми перформансами. Ребята устраивали шоу с одеванием масок Никсона и других политических деятелей, были в обличье мясников, проституток, подводников, животных, вобщем веселились как могли. Фотки этих музыкальных оргий я выложу в конце статьи.
Выступали с такими группами как Saetia, The Day of Man as Man, Pg.99, Pig Destroyer, Reversal of Man, Kill the Man Who Questions итд.
Список всех их концертов выложу в конце статьи, их было, как ни странно не много, всего 14.
Состав включал в себя:Joshua Bolton (вокал), Justin Randolph (гитара), Chad W. Middleton (ударные), Matt Swasey (вокал), Andy Low (бас). Да, у них было два свободных вокалиста, которые устраивали безумство на сцене.

Matt Swasey:
"yes, hello. my name is matt swasey. to ease confusion: i am here for the lordship loudkid bears. i will attempt to show you some of the things that i do to use the time i have in this current person... milk the next universe. nasa will not tell you. inform yourself from the stream weightless power that comes in the night. in the quiet. in the still. you know its there. i can float in my dreams. this is a gift. at the moment, i am thinking about dick dishkavek (dishkuvegg), im not sure how his last name is spelled, i have never seen it written. meanwhile, dick dishkavek is now negotiable. there will be more on that later. "



Andy Low:
"Once a fine young beautiful romancer, a horrible chemical accident has left him armless, so a robotic arm was required. 18 years old and he still hasn't found his arm, but the robotic arm seems to come in useful, ala opening cans and beating up robbers. Enjoys many bands including (to name a few) Pantera, 108, Men's Recovery Project, GWAR, Spazz, Judas Priest, His Hero is Gone, Reversal of Man, and Kill the Man Who Questions. Favorite TV show is The Simpsons, but I seem to neglect that too much."




Chad W. Middleton:
"Thy name is Chad W. Middleton a.k.a. Certified 4,003. I landed in middle earth (reston) many years ago as an eager young rockin' buck, and too many times I felt discriminated against for my patches of metallic skin. Many Americans (humans) felt intiminated because my chances for interaction with lightning were greatly increased due to my very high positive ion count. Other than that my time on this planet has become very enjoyable. I've taken up several man made activities and hobbies such as donating much of my time to beating tightened membrane with wooden sticks while staying in rythm with carefuly selected musical measures/counts. As far as other material objects I have chosen to become friends with, the list includes, compact discs: Weezer, Trans am, the dismemberment plan, the cardigans, gwar, servotron, his hero is gone, L7, the donnas, and the melvins. Fine works of cinimatic art include: Ed and his dead mother, Fargo, Pieces, Dead alive, the back to the future trilogy, CB-4, Cable guy, Addicted to love, Babe - the cute little pig not the fat ass self-abusing american baseball icon. That's all your getting out of me you internet punk rock loser/hardcore/emo/indie/grindcore/kiss is best band in world......;...25488**much lovEee...%66^"



Justin Randolph:
"Justin Randolph, A.K.A. TEX-COG-449, A.K.A. BIG TEX, hails from the great state of TEXAS. He is one half robot and one half dead. Justin is a heavy metal god. And yes folks, DONT MESS WITH TEXAS! Justin's favorite book, movie and dog toy is HEAVY METAL: TEXAS STYLE. Justin plants to attend Heavy Metal University where he will cultivate Heavy Metal Krishna Consciousness. DONT MESS WITH TEXAS OR I'LL MESS YOU UP PUNK!"




Joshua Bolton:
"Joshua Bolton, one of two vocalists for Reactor No.7, spends all of his time in serious consideration. His favorite books include: Mother Night by Kurt Vonegut; Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison; and The Great Pretender by James noname. His date of birth is the seventeenth of feburary, nineteen eighty one. His father's name is vade. He has a friend named Rob Nipko. Josh is currently immersed in writing prophesies for the rest of the world, because of this, no one has seen or spoken to him in a matter of months, other than Rob Nipko, whom Joshua threatens with his life after every period of school. Joshua is a student at South Lakes High School, where he is the current editor-in-chief of the school's newspaper The Sentinel. After High School, Joshua will attend Maryland University, where he will enter the Judaic Studies department. Afterwards, he might go on to become a nude rabbi, or wander around the south, immersed in southern Gothic literature.For the time being, Joshua plans on continuing with his writing, growing closer and closer to the elements of consious. If he so reaches that plane of existence, all of us here at Reactor No.7 hope for him only the best. He is an asshole."

Играли быстрый кричащий хардкор, в духе Reversal of Man.
Своим первым релизом стал сплит с Pg. 99. Ребята представили 2 песни на этот релиз. Семерка вышла на Robodog Records в 1999 году.
Парни успели поучавствовать в куче различный компиляций, таких как:
V/A - For Fear of Rejection (12"), Reactor No. 7 представили на нем песню Control Rods, кроме них там были такие команды как Devola, Joshua Fit For Battle, Devoid of Faith, Dreadnok, Pilate, Let Me Live, Kill the Man Who Questions, [fate of] Icarus, Brandon Walsh, Spread the Disease, The Swarm, Racebannon, Neil Perry итд
V/A - Blast Beats & Breakdowns Vol. 1 (Groovecore records, CD), песня Black Vise была на нем от реактора номер семь, еще там были группы Enemy Soil, Coalition Against Shane, Doomtrooper, Empire Falls, The Circle of Dead Children и Pitboss 2000
V/A - Subculture Sucks Comp #3, локальная компиляция, включала группы Frodus, Darkest Hour, Turbine итд. Реактор №7 представил песню Our Nature.
Также учавствовали в серии семидюймовых компиляций на Ricecontrol Records, где представили песню A.S.F.R. Кроме них там были De Nada, Amalgamation, Marble, Jerome's Dream, Ananda итд.
Были еще какие-то компиляции, бенефиты, на одном из них была их песня Middle Earth.
Еще они своими силами выпустили селф-тайтледную семерку. И неизданных записей у них было достаточно много.
В июле 1999 года проводят прощальный концерт в Вашингтонском ДиСи с Brother Inferior и Daybreak.
В качестве реквиема по 2-м годам существования выпустили дискографию на CD-R, включающую в себя 26 песен. Издал ее лейбл Robotic Empire.
Несмотря на достаточно обширную дискографию группа осталась совершенно неизвестной, только, как я уже гвоорил в начале статьи, благодаря сплиту с Pg. 99 стала хоть относительно известной. Я не нашел ничего из их дискографии, кроме сплита с Pg. 99 и отрывка песни Control Rods. Постараюсь заказать дискографию, потом оцифровать и все такое. Хотя я не уверен, что это удастся, cd-r выпустили 50 копий только.
